Model presented in 1975 by Lotus to compete in the Indy 500 that was also attempted to be used in F1. The most striking feature of this model is that it had a gas turbine engine used in aviation. It could be considered one of the first modern single-seaters due to its innovative wedge shape that broke with the cigar-shaped design of previous single-seaters, and it also had four-wheel drive.
In the Indy 500 in which they achieved pole position but no single-seater crossed the finish line, and in F1, due to the excess weight of the fuel tanks, it was not competitive enough.
