The 2013 range of this supercar is offered in two versions: SRT Viper and SRT Viper GTS. The difference lies in that the GTS incorporates specific additions, presenting a series of improvements over the previous model aimed particularly at optimizing sports performance. Among them are: a chassis with torsional stiffness increased by fifty percent; the adjusted stability control that provides a new threshold of action; the incorporation of "launch control," a system that optimizes maximum acceleration start in a straight line; optimized rear suspension, which includes a new anchor designed to improve stability in high-demand maneuvers; wider front track (1,598 mm), and the addition of a system that allows the driver to select the response of traction and stability control, among four modes in the GTS version (Full-on, Sport, Track, and Full-off) and among two in the more "basic" one (Full-on, Full-off). Furthermore, the GTS option incorporates for this generation a new system that allows adjusting the response of the suspension according to two modes: street or track. It maintains the classic weight distribution of 50% between both axles, although engineers managed to reduce the total weight of the vehicle by 45 kg by applying carbon fiber and aluminum in the chassis and body. It is worth noting that engineers have focused on other points that have historically been controversial. Among them, the finishes and the interior decoration are now more refined: the GTS version uses genuine leather upholstery.
